If mulling over the hidden meaning of Brooklyn Beckham's new tattoo is Farmer’s Wife: Handle with Care! Part 1: Angel Advent (2021)robbing you of sleep, well, we've got news for you.
SEE ALSO: Brooklyn Beckham got his first tattoo and the internet has a lot of questionsFor the uninitiated, the story is as follows: David and Victoria Beckham's 18-year-old son got a tattoo on his left foot reading "Made in England", and fans are literally freaking out.
At this point you might either ask yourself why should I keep reading this, I honestly DGAF, or dive deeper into one of the most impenetrable mysteries of our time.
The reason why people started metaphorically ripping their hair out & tearing their clothes in despair, endlessly trolling Brooklyn and generally expressing their feeling of bewilderment, confusion, loss on social media is quite simple.
There has been a long held belief that Brooklyn was named after that neighbourhood in New York because it's where his mother Victoria conceived him. Twitter so much as said so. So it must be true, right?

The tattoo "Made in England", while boasting a commendable fondness for the country of his parents -- and a tribute to the magic foot of his dad....no wait David was right-footed so not even that -- is *technically* incorrect.
Those claiming it should be "Made in Brooklyn" are not right either.
As revealed by Victoria in her 2001 biography "Learning to Fly", Brooklyn, NY, is where she discovered she was expecting, NOT where Brooklyn was conceived:
"We already knew he was a boy and so I knew he could end up a footballer, so it had to be a name that was a bit bloke.
“I had always liked the name Brooke and then we suddenly thought about Brooklyn. I’d always like it as a place – it’s very multi-cultural, very grounded.
"And it was only afterwards that I realised how appropriate it was because it was in New York that I found out I was pregnant and where David came after the World Cup.”
So the nagging question now is: if Brooklyn wasn't conceived in the New York borough, where did Victoria get pregnant?
It was actually in Denmark as Posh herself told Ali G (aka Sacha Baron Cohen) in a 2006 interview. Go to around 5:27.
Here's a transcript of the conversation:
Victoria: "Well, we found out that I was pregnant while we was – while I was on tour in America and we was in Brooklyn when we found out."
Ali G: "So had you actually done it there?"
Victoria: "No, we didn't do it there."
Ali G: "For real?"
Victoria: "We did it in Denmark, if you really want to know."
Ali G: "Okay, how can you never called him Denmark?"
In the last line, Baron Cohen makes a really good point.
Victoria also confirmed this in an interview with a Danish magazine, back in 2011:
"In fact, I became pregnant in Denmark. We were on tour with Spice Girls and had come to Copenhagen. David visited me and yes ... so it happened," says Victoria to the magazine."
Mystery solved, then. We can all sleep tight, tonight.
