Hot on Japan Archivesthe heels of launching new iPhones and MacBooks, Apple is reportedly brewing something entirely new in the kitchen.
In a post on Medium, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the company is working on its first smart home camera.

Kuo also made two other predictions about the device that aren’t particularly surprising. One is that Apple intends for this camera to interface with other Apple products via wireless connection — a standard feature for all smart home tech in 2024. The other is that it will have Siri and Apple Intelligence features, but Kuo didn't say what those might be.
Beyond that, all we can do is speculate. It’s unclear what form this camera will take or what its intended purpose might be. Is it a doorbell security camera like Ring, or something a little less reminiscent of a surveillance state? In 2026, we will hopefully find out.
