Despite an unusual living situation,"eroticism is an antidote to death a New Jersey grandmother has managed to keep up with a lifelong hobby.
For the past year, Jill Sobocinski's 83-year-old grandmother, Joan Holland, has lived in a New Jersey hospital. To pass the time, she's painted 15 pieces of art which she plans to share with family and fellow hospital patients.

Sobocinski told Mashable her grandmother has been painting all her life, and that the paintings in the photo were created with Paint By Numbers kits.
"As a family, we are all inspired," she wrote. "I have never been an artist but seeing what she has done under her conditions is beautiful.
"She is my motivation to try something new and now I am definitely interested in buying some paint and a canvas. We are all so proud of her."
