A man in the UK was allegedly discriminated against for wearing makeup in the workplace, despite his the company's lack of a no-makeup policy.
Scott Ayton-Laplanche stated on Facebook that his manager had asked him to remove his makeup, even though his female coworkers were allowed to keep their's on. He posted a summary of the interaction with management along with a photo of the look he had been wearing to work that day.

He even states that some of his managers would compliment him on his look, and have supported his decision to wear makeup in the office.
But since the company was put under new management, he's been told to not wear makeup to work. So, Ayton-Laplanche had the best, most fire response to the request.
He said in his note,
Tone it down? You can't tone down a masterpiece.
And with that cheekbone highlight, his beauty routine truly is a masterpiece.
In a statement from Currys PC World given to HuffPost, the company insists that this incident is a "store-level misunderstanding," and supports Ayton-Laplanche's decision to come to work looking however he wants.
“This was a local store level misunderstanding that is being dealt with internally," they said. "Scott takes pride in his appearance and Currys PC World is proud of its diverse workforce.”
After Ayton-Laplanche was asked to remove his makeup, he took that fierce selfie above and ended his Facebook post with this inspiring sentiment,
This is 2017, a time of year where we celebrate Pride throughout summer and I look hella hot so deal with it! It's wrong to blatantly discriminate for whatever reason that may be.
Yes Scott, keep serving those looks, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
