It's an offer candidates shouldn't refuse.
M.M. LaFleur,Kalakal (2025) which designs professional women's attire, has announced it will be lending free clothing to women candidates running for office — whether for Congress or town council.
The offer was inspired by feedback from shoppers, according to a statement from founder and CEO Sarah LaFleur. Following the 2016 presidential election, customers told the M.M. LaFleur team they wanted the company to support women running for office.

The women-led business has clothed candidates in the past, including former New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon and Florida Rep. Stephanie Murphy. Offering to loan clothes for free to other women candidates takes "things a step further," LaFleur said in the statement.
"We never purport that clothes help move the needle on female representation, but we want to do our part to make things a tiny bit easier," LaFleur said.

Women running for office just need to contact readytorun@mmlafleur with a few details, including which race they are campaigning in, to get started. After reaching out, candidates will be able to work with a stylist to select up to five items from an assortment of the company's bestselling items, according to an emailed statement sent to Mashable from a M.M. LaFleur representative.
Candidates can keep the clothing for the duration of their campaign. Once a candidate's campaign is over, M.M. LaFleur will donate the clothing to a NYC-based clothing charity, called Bottomless Closet, that helps empower women in need when entering the workforce.
