Your next MacBook Pro might have Tagseven better battery life than its predecessors. And that's huge considering that the current-generation MacBook Pro models already have killer power efficiency.
According to a report from DigiTimes(h/t MacRumors), the next-generation MacBook Pro laptops — particularly the 14-inch and 16-inch models — will have updated mini-LED displays with a luminance that is 10% brighter than before. As a cherry on top, in addition to a brighter panel, the mini-LED screen will be more energy efficient. In other words, it should consume less power compared to the LCD screens on the current generation of MacBook Pros.

This is in comparison to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops, packed with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, unleashed in January. According to Apple, both laptops deliver 18 hours and 22 hours of battery life, respectively, after running an Apple TV app movie.
The DigiTimes report claims that the MacBook Pro models are poised to be released later this year, but as MacRumors pointed out, the timing is questionable. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a more reliable source of Apple leaks, claims that the next MacBook Pro will be released some time before the middle of 2024. Ming-Chi Kuo, another respected Apple tipster, concurs with Gurman's claims.

It's also worth noting that the next-generation MacBook Pros are expected to feature new M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. Ultimately, we'll have to take the "wait and see" approach with these reports. But if it's true, the next-generation MacBooks look mighty enticing.
