Based on Krystal Sutherland's debut novel, Our Chemical Hearts, this teen film has self-proclaimed romantic Henry Page (Austin Abrams) waiting for the day he meets his once-in-a-lifetime love. Not long after Grace Town (Lili Reinhart) transfers to his school and begins editing the paper with him, he starts to wonder if she is the girl he's been searching for. But will her dark secret keep them apart?
Chemical Hearts hints at a tragic but sweet narrative. And though it's unlikely to be a ground-breaking masterpiece, there's something comforting about coming-of-age stories that consider the possibilities of the future. Plus, with Riverdale's Lili Reinhart and Euphoria's Austin Abrams taking center stage, it's likely to at the very least be well-acted.
