If you want to get your hands on Dear Utol (2025): TBrgy. Chairman Episode 39a new Macbook Pro but didn'tplace a preorder, you may be out of luck until December, or beyond.
The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks Pro, outfitted with the fancy new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips, debuted on Oct. 18. The laptops were immediately available for preorder, and those who placed one should be set to receive their new laptops by Oct. 26, as planned. But if you were hoping to make the purchase when the laptops were more widely available, you'll be waiting until at least November or December, depending on your desired configuration.
As of Oct. 24, the two available purchasing options for the 14-inch MacBook Pro on Apple's website sets delivery date between Nov. 16-23. The three available options for the 16-inch laptop puts delivery between Nov. 23-Dec. 1. If you choose to configure the storage options on either size laptop, delivery dates could get pushed all the way to Dec. 23.
While Apple doesn't offer an explanation for the months-long wait time, it could be due to ongoing supply chain issues. Apple's last Intel laptop dipped low in stock right before this latest batch of M1 MacBooks, which could point to supply issues even before the launch. However, Apple could also have been reducing Intel stock in preparation for M1's launch.
Whether it's low supply or simply extra high demand — or perhaps some combination of the two, with other factors like worldwide shipping hiccups getting in the way — the latest MacBooks will be hard to come by for at least some time. If you're trying to gift one by Christmas, we recommend ordering ASAP or risking even more delays!
