Everyone loves a good baby animal picture. But for whatever reason016 Archives people seem to be largely repelled by baby fruit bats.
We don't know why fruit bats get a bad rap, so we've decided to try to change things.
SEE ALSO: Rare baby white koala looks for a name on FacebookWe've compiled a collection of baby fruit bat pictures that we hope everyone will like, but we're worried that only some people will like them, while most will still find them to be absolutely disgusting.
This one's cute, right? I don't see why anyone wouldn't equate this to a baby bear with wings.
This one's just flying, perfectly harmless! He even has a lion's mane. This little guy is basically The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe's Aslan. But if you're still grossed out, just pretend it's the Bat-Signal and move on.
All right, so this one's a little creepy. We see how bats glued upside down to cave ceilings, ready to descend upon passersby could be a little disturbing. But, if you imagine the picture upside down, they're basically just standing on some rocks like tiny hikers. Adorable!
This gaggle of fruit bat babies is reminiscent of having a mouse infestation in your apartment, but try to think of it like they're just going up and elevator during rush hour instead. Precious!
Oh Jesus Christ, there's more. Nope, this is not okay, let's try the next one.
Here they're either having a kindergarten slumber party, or they look like they could be placed in a T-shirt gun and shot into the audience at the basketball game of nightmares. For the purposes of our project, we'll go with slumber party.
This one has to be a winner: It's sleeping! How can anyone hate something that's pleasantly sleeping?
God damn it who allowed this one to come back? This is literally everyone's interpretation of Hell.
Fuck that's gross. Why can't they ever stand right side up? These might even be worse than flying tarantulas.
Okay, phew, that's better. Who can deny a friendship between two animals? Just don't zoom in.
Well, you did it. We hope the next time you see a baby fruit bat picture or a baby fruit bat video, you remember to be a little more accepting.
Thanks for reading Mashable Humor: original comedy every day. Or most days. We're people, just like you, and we're trying our best.
