One's a doll and the problem of eroticizing sexual abuse in mediaone's a human child, but they're both doctors and they both rule. Clearly.
Sophia, a 2-year-old South Carolina girl, impressed her mum (and now, the whole internet) by shutting down some BS at the toy store, when her choice of doll was questioned by a grown-up. Stupid grown-ups!

According to Brenner, Sophia chose a "doctor doll" because she's pretty much obsessed with being a doctor. Upon taking the black doll to the counter, she was asked by a salesperson, "Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?" To which she replied "Yes please!" But the salesperson continued, "She doesn't look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you."
Um, excuse me?

But it's cool, because before her mother could respond, Sophia was already explaining the similarities between herself and the doll. "She's a doctor like I'm a doctor," she said. "And I'm a pretty girl and she's a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?"
How cute, she's legit explaining love and tolerance to an adult. If only she didn't have to. But as her mum put it, "This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren't born with the idea that color matters. Skin comes in different colors just like hair and eyes and every shade is beautiful."
Damn straight it is. And since the re-posted Instagram image and caption has garnered over 168,000 shares and 403,000 reactions on Facebook, it seems ol' sad grown-up is in the minority.
Thanks, doctor doll!
