The network that brought you Riverdaleand Greg Berlanti's D.C. universe superhero shows will develop The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a horror drama set in the Archie Comics universe.

A press release described it as "tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Babyand The Exorcist," so don't expect any pop star cameos in this iteration.
The series will be executive produced by writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and director Lee Toland Krieger, as well as Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrinawill likely premiere in the 2018-2019 TV season.
